nRF24 antennas not working

Hey there. I'm trying to make a remote controlled boat, and I have gotten myself 2 arduino nano's with nRF24 antennas. I'm trying to get them to communicate, but I'm not having a lot of luck.

I used a very nice tutorial by Robin2`. I have external voltage sources connected to the antennas. With Robin2's programm, the transmitter continuously sends

sent message 0 TX failed

I have tried to bring the antenna's far apart, because I thought that was the issue, which it wasn't.

If anyone has any more troubleshooting tips, or anything else, help will be appreceated.

What!

You don't power antennas.

I may have been quick in typing, I meant that I have my voltage sources connected to the vcc pin on the nRF24 antenna components.

Post a link to the "antennas" you bought. Do you have actual nRF24L01 RADIOS connected to them or just the antennas?
