I created a rig for optimizing the range of your nRF24 devices and wrote a blog post about it:
It's easy to put together and I share the schematic and software

Thanks for sharing.
I have a had a look at your link but I could not see any info about the distances over which you got your nRF24s to work.
I have had a pair of the low-power units (with PCB antennas) working at 110m outdoors with clear line of sight. My test was poorly designed so I could tell if it was working at a longer range

Good point - I figured people would find out for themselves, but it is useful to see what I got. I'll share some of my results.
Hi Larry,
Great work and writeup! This will be very useful for people starting to work with nRF24L01.
May I abstract from / link to your blog post for http://ArduinoInfo.Info ?
On of the most popular pages on ArduinoInfo is about the nRF24L01 HERE
Your work is much more valuable than lots of anecdotal reports...
Thanks! Terry
Hi,
BTW I have found these little modules make it EASY to properly power and provide good bypass capacitors for the nRF24L01 modules. Especially good for the high-power versions.
I have them HERE but they are all over Amazon etc.
DISCLAIMER: Mentioned stuff from my own shop...

Hi Terry,
I'm glad you find it helpful. Feel free to abstract/link it.
Readers may also find this Simple nRF24L01+ Tutorial useful.
The examples are as simple as I could make them and they have worked for other Forum members.
Wireless problems can be very difficult to debug so one should get the wireless part working on its own before adding any other features.

I added my results. I haven't done exhaustive, clear line of sight testing. I'm interested in how well it works in a busy/noisy indoor environment.
