Nrf24l0 antenna conector

Hello all! I'm bringing out a wifi project on an esp32 and 2 nrf24l0 modules that needs better range and I'm stucked with the antenna since the modules comes with a sma female conector and that stops me from putting a higher gain antenna. Al comercial antennas comes with female sma conector same as the modules. I saw that there is a sma male to male adaptor and here comes the question...
There will be a loss of signal if I put that adaptor? Should I look for nrf24l0 modules with a sma male conector ? Any ideas or sugestions ?

Thanks to all!

Yes there is a loss, but its small and unlikely to affect range much.

You need to check that adding a higher gain antenna is legal in your part of the World.

Search EBAY for "sma coax pigtail" and pick what you need for your project!

I thought of buying a pigtail but I am not sure if it will loose performance...

It is for an open area application, where no interference with other equipment will occur.

Even with very expensive test equipment, you would not be able to see a difference. That is what coaxial cable is made for.

All the ones I see have a male. It's common practice for the transmitter to have a female and the coax/antenna to have a male

The nrf24l01 module comes with a female sma conector. That makes impossible to put a higher gain comercial antenna, the ones I see they come with a female sma conector too.
