The OP's RX code does not use a variable called "pipe" and in the snippet you posted I think when you use the word "pipe" you are really referring to an address. IMHO it is easier for newbies to understand nRF24 code if the word "address" (or similar) is used for any variable that contains an address and the word "pipe" is only used when it is necessary to identify which of the 6 pipes is to be used.
