No luck here with several ...best there was around 7 metres....so there are cheapies regardless..

Is it possible your antenna is for a different frequency range?
It came with the module. So, not sure, perhaps i will buy just the antenna from sparkfun?
Did you post your code and a photo or a drawing of the circuit you have ....didn't see it anywhere.
