OBD digital dashboard.

Hi all, i am creating a digital dashboard using the STN1110 OBD IC and am going to use a 16x4 RGB backlight display. What am hoping todo is use the RGB backlight to indicate how hard you are driving by reading the throttle position. The formula for that is BYTE A*100/255 that gives you a 0 - 100% figure.

I can't decied what colours to have for example maybe blue for not hard and red for hard driving (open to ideas). What would be the best way to go about coding such an idea? I have all the code written and working for reading any data from the cars OBD port. Any opinions/ideas would be nice.

i remember in the old days the had an green and amber led in the same space and it changed slowly from one to the other by dimming one down and the other up... cant remember if it was just s simple change over

but the nice thing with DIY is that you can do as you like... with todays colours you could split it up in 3, green, amber, red
