OBD reader shield

Using Arduino Project Guidance

I’m going to use this shield to get some data off my car. It’s a VW Golf mk5 GTI with a DSG gear box.

One of the staff I need to get is the gear indicator, while in manual mode.

I’ve got this to get the data from the ECU:
VCDS Address 02
Measuring block-08
Group 002 filed 4

However I don’t have the formula to use with the above shield. Can this be converted to a formula or used somehow else at all?

What code do you allready have? Can you post it?

Do you have the datasheets of the IC's used?
