Hello everyone. I am looking to build a camera mount for my boat that will track a person being towed. What is the best approach? I need a max distance of 75 feet.
Work out the maximum slew rate in each axis.
Specify motors and platform to suit.
Rinse and repeat.
GPS on the person and GPS on the boat, RF communications between them.
I see a lot of screws, nuts, bars etc. will be needed.

Does not that depend on the focal length of the camera etc ?
With a wide angle lens you probably dont need to 'track' at all but if the 'person' is to fill the frame for the lens being used thats quite a different problem.
I suspect that the 'best' approach would be to use a video recognition system that is able to discern the person via a camera, so not an Arduino solution.
