I have used Tiny85 kickstart boards before, and I got a new laptop and configured it to work wit Tiny85 Kickstart. Once I got it all working, and programed a sample program to flash the LED, I left it on the Laptop and shut the lid.
In the morning I booted the laptop and the LED was still flashing, but as soon as I finished breakfast and went back to the laptop, both the power LED and flashing LED were on solid. I unplugged the board from the cable and tried it again. It still was not recognized by the PC, and the LEDS were again solid.
I was playing around with it, and noticed that if I did not insert the usb cable fully into the board, the board would would come up running, flashing the LED, and power on was steady, but the computer could still not see it. So it is stuck with a simple program that only runs if the USB cable is only partially inserted.
Does anybody know what actually could have gone wrong on the board by what is happening?
