Official arduino ethernet shield uses pin 2 or 4?

Hi everyone,

I'm designing a shield with 16X2 LCD, buttons, real time clock, and else. I want this shield compatible with arduino's official ethernet shield. From the documentations on arduino.cc (http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoEthernetShield), the shield uses pin 4 to select the sd card. From the schematic, pin 2 is also used as in interrupt. :o

Can someone with the latest shield tell me whether the pin 2 is used? Is the jumper at pin 2 not connected by default? Thanks much! ;D

Hi luidr,

Are you looking at the right schematic?, or am I looking at the right schematic?

AFAIK the current board uses arduino-ethernet-shield-05-schematic.pdf.

Anyway check out the other thread about the shield database, I just posted there.
