Old CRT TV with no remote, looking for help

I baught an old Crt tv. Brand is LG and the model is CB-14F80. I baught a replacement remote for it but it does not work. So I'm turning to DIY. I need to find the IR codes for the remote to this specific model, or find a way to brute force IR codes to the tv until it changes source.

Any tips or tricks that could help? Thanks

It seems like there might be an "unlimited" number of code variations/possibilities. :frowning:

Did you buy an original LG replacement or a universal remote? There are places (websites) that specialize in original replacements. They might even be able to help with an alternative or they might have some code information... I don't know...

There could be a problem with the TV itself.

The IRRemote library has a bazillion codes for a bazillion TV types. You will need to use trial and error.

I thaught about the tv and changed the ir recieving diode.
I baught this product:

I'll try to check online, find about that

Do you have a link? I'm on the Github and I can't find the codes.
Thanks

I've bought several replacement remotes in my life. They all had manuals listing the TV models and what code and how to do to put the code into the remote. They all worked well.

what are you saying?

So, now you may have two problems…
First rule of repair…
You shouldn’t change anything unless you know what you’re chasing in the first place.

You're annoying

As so often the truth is.
