Old electric meter housing

Hi,

I just found an old electric meter from the 1950s on a flee market in excellent condition. I stripped it and plan to use it for my next project. It seems that the glas window is big enough to fit/put a Nokia LCD behind it...

Hi, there will be a lot of them around here somewhere, SMARTY METERs installed, scraped all old ones.
Just went online and found out when I turned the kettle and toaster on yesterday morning, riveting stuff :astonished:

    Two flies up a wall, physics, probability. :sleeping:
    Go look at flashing LED on SMARTY, Optometry, Neurological Epilepsy Test. :astonished:
    Do washing up, probably one of the more constructive things to do. =(

Hey, F1 on today, new stuff in cars, electrikery stuff, Aussie on front row, yaaayyyy.
(Does that mean I have to drink that EMBARRASSED MALE BOVINE DRINK, that tastes like (I beleived) a FELINE BYPRODUCT that some (now very rich) guy discovered in a SE Asian country?)

He's going to get it to run backwards and use it as a countdown timer. 8)

Hi, I think just about world wide the old type meters were 5 or 6 inch diam that sat out from the wall by about 5inches.

Idea, mount two on wall at or on front door, fit with LEDs and servo controlled shutter and speaker, when door bell button pushed, shutters open, LED eyes light up and "YOU RANG".

Just an idea, sorry just had V8 supercars on TV, VOLVO won, now another 2 1/2 hours to F1.
