Welcome to the forum! Ask away! You might want to try a forum search first tho. There are a lot of answers for you on the forum already.
BTW, you are not really an "Oldish guy". You are younger than my son.

Thanks for the welcome.

Ohm my gosh, very warm response.
Much appreciated.
That's what I was looking for.
Sharing ideas and sharing a sense of humour.
I've got a lot to learn and a lot to offer.
No promises, just testing the waters.

What's the frequency Kenneth?
Hurts so good.
Well at 35 you are just a nipper. I am 63 and by no means the oldest here.
I thought he meant he's had the nickname for 35 years, which would put him anywhere between say 40 and 80.

This is going on long enough to justify moving it to Bar Sport.
On the other hand it is so nice to get a young newcomer how doesn't immediately lose his temper and start insulting people who are trying to help. (I'm assuming those angry people are young - but I may be wrong.)
Welcome.

It wouldn't hurt if you give some of your background as far as computers, coding, tech, electricity, math and science just for starts. None is required but it could make it easier to know where to pitch ideas/concepts.
LOL, not only is none required but some things are easier to learn if you don't have to unlearn something else first.
Arduino has no Operating System. You have to write your own bugs!

Like Homer Simpson's wine tasting lessons. "After learning about wine, I forgot how to drive the car."

SOP for newbies. It still lingers with some of us.

Would 75 qualify??

I only got into micros 3 years ago when I found Arduino, I was 63 then. ( in your Earthling years )
