Hi all, i am currently using
2.42 inch 128x64 OLED LCD Display Module, i2c
IAdafruit_SSD1306.h library
Grove TCA9548a multiplexer
the problem is, after a while, unintended pixels are kept lit.
Even if I use a new display, it's always the same spot. (photo attached)
can someone please point out what might be wrong??
When I look at your wiring.. everything!

as in a different manufacturer??
That's the problem, there's no wiring. In case you didn't know - we're not mind readers. 
Get to it lad, diagram / schematics!

it was indeed a bit vague
Close enough to say remove the purple wire and replace it with a yellow one.
