Since this is General Category General Discussion I feel relatively safe from the usual uncalled for and unfriendly replies.

It seems, to the of casual observer as I have become here, that most issues outside of "new forum problems" are now posted elsewhere. Just received about 60 or so e-mails from few places. ( Still no notification from this web site)

Makes me wonder who is at the helm of THIS sinking ship and if Arduino.inc has any interest to grow up from first grade teacher's "show and tell" stage to be a real, industrial strength contender.

Off my soap box, back to coding "blink without delay".

It's an interesting point-of-view, Vaclav, expressed in your inimitable style, but I just wonder what evidence you have for this "sinking".

(There are a few problems with the published "blink without delay" sketch - why not see if you can find and correct them - make yourself useful, instead of just being your usual Jonah)

I don't quite follow. What's being posted elsewhere? And what does that have to do with ... whatever this has to do with?

Arduino Inc hardly seems like a sinking ship to me. A bit distracted by new options, perhaps, and some folks here question their taste in forum aesthetics, but otherwise they've contributed pretty heavily to a new era of hobbyists.

As for moving into more industrial space, I'm not sure that's wise. There are plenty of TIs, NXPs, STs, and Microchips out there already. What a lot of those guys lack is exactly what Arduino brings to the table. Seems to me to be a good place to be at the moment. (That was kind of an awkward sentence.)

I for one, would never had progressed to even " first grade teacher's "show and tell" stage " micro projects if it had not been for " THIS sinking ship ".

There were always "real, industrial strength contenders " out there that I could never have transitioned to ( having fixed my first TV in 1958, and been stuck in CMOS logic for 30 years until Arduino lit a switch for me )

So knock it how you will, I might be better than you in oil painting or piano playing, but I wont ridicule anything that helps you master them.

I don't think that you have a good grasp of what Arduino is about, Vaclav, nor of the scope.

There is a lot of teach people to swim going on here but is that a bad thing?
