I want to make an on-and-off keying (OOK) signal with a carrier frequency of 150 MHz. So how can i get from Arduino UNO and a functional Generator?
You need a 150MHz generator that can be turned on & off by a logic-level signal.
The Arduino just generates that logic-level signal.
What is the output power?
will you elaborate more, on how I can do that? i mean configuration and coding
the power i need is from -10db to 0db
The 150MHz generator would be a separate unit.
Making one of these would require specialist RF skills, experience, and equipment - so it's something you'd need to buy.
Also, radio transmitters are generally subject to regulatory control, and may require licensing...
If you say what the application is, people may be able to suggest suitable sources/devices...
As far as the Arduino is concerned, it's no different to turning an LED on & off
you mean dBm ?
Have you tried an internet search?
eg,
Hi, @naqib
Welcome to the forum.
Why 150MHz?
What do you want to do?
What do you want to control?
Thanks... Tom...
You can use an RF switch such as the ADG901 from Analog devices
But those are 433MHz - OP said 150MHz
(though it does remain to be confirmed that 150MHz is a real requirement)
Hello naqib
Take some time and visit a local amateur radio club with your idea to discuss some solutions.
I suspect your purpose is NOT to transmit such a signal over the air. Any OOK must be shaped properly so as to NOT generate spurious signals + an - to the fundamental frequency. ALL those must be suppressed or eliminated.
I have tried a suitable solution for the internet but in CMOS it requries a high inductor size which increases the cost of the circuit
The attached circuit contains a few components.
- the power is -20dbm dBm, unfortunately, so how can I improve it Moreover,
- I am trying to design it with CMOS technology. Is there a schematic available from which I can get ideas for designing it in CMOS?
Sorry, no attached circuit. What is a "high inductor size"? And if you mean the RF design, CMOS logic chips (if that's what you mean) aren't a good choice.
i want to make a transmitter and receiver for my design.
it is preferable to have a maximum size of 1nH for CMOS technology
Why you don´t use COTS transmitter and receivers.
Commercial off-the-shelf because it is readymade. I want to improve the power consumption. could you recommend me anyhow
