One crystal oscillator, and the clock daisy-chained through multiple devices..?

I’m designing a board that will have two Arduinos and four MAX3421E USB host controllers, and possibly more devices. I got the idea of using a single self-contained crystal oscillator for the whole board, instead of individual crystals & caps for each device. It would be fewer components, and less board space used.

When there is more than one MAX3421E, can XO drive XI of the next device with no additional components…? I’ve attached an example to this post.

As for Arduino, can CLKO on the first device drive XTAL1 on the second device directly with no additional components…? This assumes CLKO is enabled, and the second device is set for external clock.
