so what im saying is my esp32 doesn’t have a D18 port and I need to connect to it is there any other ports I can connect to
Is there a specific reason that you need to use D18? I'm not familiar with the ESP32 based boards; in principle you can use any pin but I have no idea what your project is about.

No idea why you think the WROOM board would be different with regards to pin 18, here is a standard pinout with D18 marked in RED. If your board does NOT have a D18, pick another on and change the one line in the code that assigns D18 to a variable.
