Hello,
I am wondering if it is possible to connect one potentiometer/variable resistor to two LM 386 Amplifiers, so I can get both stereo channels with the same level.
If this is possible, how would the wiring look?
Would this be the correct way?
Thanks,
Melvin

Sure, just use a stereo potentiometer.

Where did you find a suggestion to wire a potentiometer to an LM386 in that fashion?
It will have only partial control of the gain - over a small range.

This is where I found it.
I now found another way that I copied for my circuit, which is this one:
Find The LM386 Audio Amplifier Circuit, Datasheet and Pinout From ElectroSchematics. Plus, Find Helpful Diagrams and Resources. Visit To Learn More.
Est. reading time: 2 minutes
(in my diagram it was an 100kOhm potentiometer, which I didn't realize because i just inserted one without checking resistance)

This is where I found it.
Oh, "Instructables ", well, that would explain it. As he says in the first paragraph, "It is my first instructable", and other comments to match.

And that is the standard way of working a volume control.
As fungus says, you need a stereo potentiometer, just like all stereo amplifiers.
