one push button video selector

Hello,
I need an advice from specialists.
I have a Mitsubishi Outlander with factory navigation.
I want to install a dvr, side camera, front camera and a carpc (or an android device) and display the image to factory navigation under aux option.

What I need to achieve is to use one button from the car dash to switch between video sources like this:
1st press - switch video to front camera
2nd press - switch video to side camera
3rd press - switch video to dvr
4th press - switch video to carpc + choose carpc audio + switch the navigation touch screen to control the carpc
5th press - go back to 1 and switch back audio and touch screen to factory navigation

Is this doable with arduino?

Thank you for your help

Yes, with external components, assuming that you have access to the input of the display of the factory navigation, and access to the touch screen interface, as well as the knowledge of the protocols for each of these.

Be careful though, you could well run afoul of the law if you try to attach a DVR or a PC video output to a display in the front seat. If you do this, and end up in an accident, you could be in a world of trouble.

Well, the cameras are mostly for parking in small spaces. DVR image is only for seeing things that already happened, so no risk of distracting my attention from the road.

What external components do you mean?
Which type of arduino should I use?

My answer is going to differ from lar3y's because you run the rusk of interfering with the Outlander on board controllers.

With all respect, projects such as this are doable by folks that do not ask how to do it. The specialized knowledge, skill, and integration is not something a forum can easily provide - although, I am sure the forum has such expertise. It is just that along with the "right" answers, you will get too much noise and maybe answers not in the proper context.

Have you seen anything like this commercially? If so, buy it.
