Oops. Messy Webpage!

Anyone else see this today?

Note how the 'CATEGORIES' title overlaps the upper banner, FORUM link, instead of being it's own header? Shouldn't it be above 'Topics', but below the banner?
Curious. Upgrades, sidegrades, nogrades.

Chrome, Windows 11, if it matters.

I get the same.

Firefox W10.

Reported to Discourse.

Thanks

Yes.

Same here.
It displays correctly if I make the window width smaller than about 1000 pixels.
Leo..

All day long, pages not completed loading, profile avatars missing. Same thing happened last summer.

It comes and goes, as well. Was just fine a few minutes ago on that W11 machine, but still pooched here on this W10 machine.
Oh well, no biggy.

Linux Mint 21 & Firefox, the "throbber" keeps running like the page is still trying to download until I hit the "X" to stop it.

Here as well. Antix Linux with Firefox.

It disappears if you scroll a little down, comes back when you scroll up.

And as @xfpd mentions, no avatar in the right top. Further the post count on the avatar does not disappear after opening a topic from the list of "subscribed" topics.

Problem persists. Do they know about it?

@PerryBebbington reported it to discourse.

Yes, I read it. Mine was more like reminder. :sunglasses:

Not had any reaction from them though

Same here today.
Tried it on both Chrome and Edge, same result.

This negative "margin-left" seems to be the culprit:

because disabling it, the menu jumps back to the regular position:

Me too.
On another PC my avatar doesn't show up.

Had that too, but it popped up after refreshing the page.

There is more. Menu mess, avatar sometimes shows up, sometimes not, page cannot finish upload.
2 days

me too

(cc @pert just in case)

For those for who it is annoying, the below will prevent the forum logo problem, not other problems. Layout will change slightly but functionality is there.

While composing this reply, the website is still loading "waiting for dub1.discourse-cdn.com..." and <F12> indicates plenty 302 errors.

Hello Frequent users.

FORUM FIXED!

I logged out and logged in and the forum is back in good form. I suspect old tools were hanging around in cache, and a logout/login refreshed them. The new forum asks for two-step login, so the issues we have seen is probably from those new tools being loaded.

I can see clearly now, the old HTML is gone.

Happy foruming.

Didn't have to do anything here.
Just fixed itself.
