OPA multi-timbral FM synthesizer shield

Hi everybody,

I am new to the Arduino.cc community but I have been working on Arduino projects for some time.
I have just completed my first Arduino shield and launching a campaign on Kickstarter to help financing the first production batch.

The OPA shield brings true FM synthesis for Arduino based projects.
The current version of the DSP software offers:

  • 4-operator voice structure
  • 14 different algorithms
  • 10 voice polyphony
  • 8 simultaneous instruments
  • 16-bit high-quality stereo output
Do not hesitate to give me some feedback, the project is still evolving.

Hi again, anyone interested in the project?

I am totally willing to answer your comments and criticism.

I am interested, have watched your videos and would like to use it in conjunction with my Microbrut and beatstep pro but without a computer necessarily attached. Is this imaginable? Have you tried this already?

Hi Klaus60,

thank you for your message.

You can always use the Arduino ADC (with some components) to sample CV inputs and control the OPA engine parameters. No I did not tried it but it sounds reasonable to a certain extend.

No computer is needed after the Arduino is programmed.

Hi everyone,

these are the last 10 hours to participate in the crowdfunding campaign. We need your support.

All the best,
Frédéric
