Open Grow Software - Final sollution for controlling Arduino

Hi, I´m new with Arduino and I have not too much knowledge programming. I was thinking about control a Grow Room with Arduino and after search a lot in internet I founded something amazing.

I enter in contact with a Startup who is creating a robot to control all kind of growing spaces. The Huge difference with all domotic system I founded, is that they created it with the capacity to connect Arduinos to it.

It seems that they provide Source code and firmware to put inside arduino and connect it to "GroNode" (the brain). Once is connected, though the software is possible to control absolutely all outputs and inputs.

I found their project in Hack a Day in this link:

https://hackaday.io/project/5921-grobots-opengrow

An other link from their site:

Here they explain how to connect Arduino with the Software:

Well, I reserved my GroNode and they said me thwt I will recive it next month. So, I will give in this post more informations and reviews.

I have not too much informatics knowledge but if someone has questions, because I already pre order it, they will surely answer me fast.

Are you going to use a Mega to connect your sensors & stuff to? Many have used my Mega Screw shield to provide a secure means to connect wires to the Mega.
They are in stock and we can have in today's mail for you (if MrsCrossrRoads can get her car alarm straightened out today, and if not then tomorrow; we put a new battery in the car last night, today the alarm seems to be acting up).

I have an Uno screw shield also:

@CrossRoads, that shield is beautiful!!! Is it me, or would that completely replace the breadboard all while establishing secure connections? Gotta get me one!

@ptakx, my project is the building of an indoor grow room controller that I am intending to put online. The desire to create this project is THEE only reason I got into and am currently involved with micro-electronics and coding etc. I have been on this path for about a year and am doing everything I can think of to circumvent as much of the learning curve as I can to get my project into play, but the networking seems to be my biggest hurdle. Yesterday, while playing around with thingSpeak, I stumbled onto an app in Google Play named Blynk and looks to be similar to Arduino Commander, but with more stability. I will definitely be investigating the links you left, so thanks for them.

I am very eager for them to start releasing their hardware
wish I got into the beta run

( I put in $20 Donation , I would have done $100 but without any working software for me to play with .. )

They said the grownode will be closed source and everything else will be open source for us to hack up :stuck_out_tongue:

how ever I am wishing their grow node also had POE , I would rather wire up all the nodes then have them wireless / needing solar panels

Hey crossroads , build in an capacitor bank for boosted car starts saves batteries greatly
