open NUL: The system cannot find the file specified.

Hey,

I've just installed the arduino ide and I'm getting the error:

open NUL: The system cannot find the file specified.

it happens when compiling for any board, with any example/written code.

What I've tried:

  • reinstalling the ide
  • setting file/folder permission for every location I could find a reference off
  • rebooting my pc

help will be very much appreciated

Full error log:

Is there a particular reason you're using Teensyduino?

Yes, I'm also in the possesion of a Teensy 2.0 board

Good day,

I have the same problem mentioned above. Even with sketch which was ok a month ago.
(I use 1.6.12)

Have you find the solution?

Sorry for the late respons, I managed to work around it by using the visual studio plugin for arduino and I believe I turned off a certain feature(I can't for the life of me remember what feature).
