opening a terminal window

I have several lines that print when I open a terminal window. Every time I do it seems that it does not start with the same line every time. One of the lines it temperature. Im trying to use another program to capture that line and then paste it into notepad and then read the text. Some times it works but most times it does not. How do I get the line with the temperature to display in the terminal window at the same place every time

You could have attached it or better still create a small program that exhibits the problem and post it into a message.
