Some time ago were easy to find Atmega328p and Atmega32U4 boards under 2€.
But since chip shortage, Taiwan stuff and more prices have risen, now a cheap AVR board costs about 4€.
Do you think AVR prices will fall again?

That depends on many things I cannot predict. Semiconductors generally follow a "U" shaped curve where they are expensive when they come out, the price drops and production increases and then the prices rise at the end of life.
