Optocoupler: 6N137

Hey guys

I tried to hook up my Intelligent Power and Sensing Technologies | onsemi replacing my 4N35 for some faster switching. I am trying to use it like a normal optocoupler to control a 12v circuit. However, I just can't figure out how to get it to work. I guess I cant just hook the other side up to pin 6 and 5 as I used to on the 4N35.

Would be really glad if somebody could explain this thing to me =)

Cheers!

The 6N137 is designed to interface with digital logic, not control large loads. The output stage is a logic gate intended to operate at 5V and to supply 50mA max.
