Original or clone?

Clone. The original doesn't have the reset button in the upper left corner. There should be a blank area there for a label.

Read the review. And given that an authentic Uno is 20 euros direct from Arduino (plus tax), but this is less and you get the display too should set the alarm bells ringing.

It is neither. The board is counterfeit because they are using the Arduino logo without permission.

But John, the pics on this very site show the R3 has the reset button top left....

And indeed it does, but the artwork - the "UNO" negative is more like the R2.

The classical giveaway that this is counterfeit (because it is advertised as an "Arduino UNO R3") is the green polyfuse. Now you certainly can buy the original ones as the Arduino uses - it is dead easy - but they cost a few cents more.

And also, btw, that DFR LCD shield is the one mentioned in the sticky at the top of the displays forum: mine falls foul of the test.

They moved it! I guess I've never seen an R3 in real life.

Another difference: they seem to have taken the "Made in Italy" text off the front (but not the R2-style back).

Same picture shows "Made in Italy" in the dead center of the front, next to the reset enable jumperpads. And it's on the back too indeed.

Sorry I wasn't clear. What I meant was "Another difference between the clone and the genuine R3: the top-side silkscreen doesn't have the "Made in Italy" text in the middle. It has the R2 style top silkscreen but since the R3 has the reset button where the R2 has the "Made in Italy" text they left it out." I can see where what I said could be interpreted as "Another difference between the R3 and R2:"
