I need to power a 12VDC gear motor in order to turn a conveyor for my school project. The servo's work fine, but the motors won't power on at all. I know the first thing to check is to make sure the LED is lit up brightly to ensure proper voltage. It is. I've got a 12V lead acid 7mAh battery source as my external power supply. The Osepp's are a little diferent in that the jumper has three pins and you jump 1-2 for Vin (arduino), and 2-3 for Vsource (External). I, of course have the jumper connecting 2-3. To ensure that it wasn't just the motor, I attempted to power a 5V motor as well and couldn't get anything, (which is interesting because I had recently used this same shield and arduino for an earlier project and it was working fine.) So i figured I'd try another shield... Same thing, power to servos, but not motor. So I figured I'd give another arduino a shot... same thing, power to servos, but not motor. Then I very carefully read the instructions on the adafruit website making sure to pay extra close attention again, and I came across a bit that said I should hook 5-12V up to the barrel jack... so I did. no difference. I have been attempting to remedy this conundrum for the past four hours and have been left wanting. I've re-installed the AFMotor library, twice, following the instructions. I honestly can't think of anything else. The shield claims compatibility with arduino, and previous experience has verified this, so that's out That being said, I'm sure the problem is not with the computer, arduino, or the shield for that matter. I'm pretty sure it's something I'm doing, but I just can't think of anything. I'm sure I will feel silly when I get it figured out, and I'd really like to feel silly right about now. If anyone here has any clue where I should start looking, please please please help. I have to get some sleep now, but I will be working on it tomorrow as well. Thanks in advance.
What is an Osepp - post a link to its datasheet.

Well that's not useful, perhaps you should go out and get a 7Ah 12V battery instead
