I'm getting 1 just to try out. It's an Arduino-compatible ARM board, a Franken-duino for around $20 shipped.
Check out the specs, it can overclock to 96 MHz, it's got a 12 bit DAC, 2 13 bit ADCs, 64K RAM and 256K flash.
It also might fit in a butane lighter casing.

That's because they are the real thing sold through a deal with PJRC from what I read on their forum.
Edit: These really are genuine Teensy 3.1 boards from PJRC. I know Laen, and I personally delivered these boards to him last Friday. Normally you should be suspicious of such a low price, but in this case, I can assure you, it really is real. Well, at least for now. We'll see how long it lasts.

For Teensy 3.x support, go over to http://forum.pjrc.com/forum.php and judge for yourself. Look for the posts of Paul Stoffregen, the creator of the Teensy 3.x. Paul's OctoWS2811 library for running many, many WS2812/WS2812B lights (Adafruit calls their version neopixels) uses DMA.
