OSX High Sierra serial port numbering changing

Hi,

I have a perplexing bug on High Sierra. My (official) Leonardo's USB serial port number changes after every upload. I am running the desktop IDE 1.8.5. It makes it difficult to work with and I can't leave the serial monitor open to catch early startup messages that I might want my code to output.

I haven't found anything in Google that looks like it describes my problem. Has anyone else seen it and found a workaround?

Unfortunately I don't have a solution, but I too have noticed this behavior since upgrading to High Sierra. I will let you know if I find a solution.
