I really need to watch where I lean when I'm soldering...Any idea what I should do to make it heal faster/stop hurting so much ;D?

20-30 mins and the constant pain should stop, keep a wet towel on it.
Get an aloe vera plant...
When you get a burn, insect sting or something, break one off and press the greasy inside of it out on the spot and use it just like if it was a cream. 2-5 mins, and the pain is gone.
Let your dog lick it every 30 mins.

dont be a wuss, after a few years of doing that daily you wont even feel it any more
JK if its still fresh run warm water on it (not cold that will make it blister) and put some aloe or something else soothing on it
Punch yourself in the nose. You'll forget completely about that little burn.
Wreck a perfectly good Bluetooth module [that you waited ages for] with your sloppy soldering and you'll forget about a little burn.
Grrr...
Hehe thanks for the advice :P.
It's not hurting anymore (unless I touch it :P), and I put some aloe on it :).
One of my friends picked up a soldering iron once...by the wrong end.
:o
It was a couple years ago, but he has a big scar.
Ouch!

Ouch! I'm sure he won't be making that mistake again ;D!
I had my little firestarter here at work one day showing our pianodisc tech some basic soldering, and he snagged the cord causing it to fall
naturally I jumped back a little, he went to catch the thing (I was able to deflect his arm with a little push)
I told him, if it falls let it go man, just let it go
if it falls let it go man, just let it go
Yeah I've caught myself reaching for a falling iron a few times ;), luckily I've been able to restrain myself from grabbing it :D!

Also another useful rule, don't solder just dressed in your underware.

Learn how to weld and cut steel with an oxy-acet torch, and a soldering iron quickly begins to look "cool" in comparison...
/don't let the slag run down into your shoe...!
;D

And when arc welding, don't weld standing in a rain puddle.
Cr0sh, the same goes for dont wear coveralls that have a turn-up at the bottom
I can one up you on that. I was working in the summer heat drinking off a half gallon of water an hour keeping my coveralls well saturated with sweat (salt water, see where this is going?) and decided as I was getting a bit tired to throw my leg up over the log truck stinger I was welding on and sat straddle the thing. I struck an arc and burned off the first stick, reached into my leg pocket for the second and stuffed it into the jaws of the electrode holder. I kind of don't really remember what made contact, but the grounding was through some rather sensitive parts. Let's say I knew better, but the importance of keeping yourself out of the circuit even when dead tired and not thinking too clearly will always be remembered.
The worst was grabbing a propane torch with a faulty valve that sat idling in the middle of the shop floor. The third degree burns and pain that resulted were only equaled by passing a kidney stone a year later. Ice is your friend, alcohol to disinfect and get yourself a bottle of that aloe stuff, wrap a washcloth around as much ice as will fit, coat it with the aloe gel, grab hold and swear as necessary.

Damn..the universe just won't cut you a break, eh? ;D
Worst I have done is put a bit of a groove in my finger from soldering. It didn't acually blister and I can't remember/tell where it was anymore.
The most recent thing was doing marshmallows over a barbecue with spitting fat. I hardly noticed/wasn't too bothered as spitting flux is pretty much the same and had a good laugh at everyone else screaming as soon as they got a drop on them.
Mowcius
Sawed off a finger fabricating custom orders at a bike shop. Three years later broke my left collar bone in the military... straight through the shoulder joint and they couldn't do anything for me other than medicate for pain.
