Out put pin on Ardunio Pro Micro seems to be low voltage

Hi,

I am using a Ardunio Pro Micro and have a LED hooked up on pin 7 and 8,

when i set ping 7 to high the LED lights up bright, but when i set pin 8 high it much dimmer. I know pin 8 can also be analog but are there any known issued with different pins providing different outputs. I am powering it via 5volts on the RAW Vin and the LEDs are 5 volt (built in risistor in a push button switch)

I guess there are not and may be a faulty Ardunio as i cant find any thing about it, but thought i would ask here while waiting for a few more in the post (i am moving on from the pro mini i have been using for years to the Micro and this was the first test one i got)

EDIT>>>
Oh now i see i have to declare the pins as output. seems pin 7 always works fine but unless i decare pin 8 as output it dose not work correctly. This is not something i have ever seen on the Pro Mini. lesson learnt.

Make sure you are using a resistor with the led too !
