Pad Switches?

I've been searching the Internet up and down for thin pad-like switch that operates when some pressure is applied on it and can be easily interfaced to Arduino boards. The only one I found is called Pal Pad:

It is expensive and has a strange connector.

Are there any other alternatives?

Thank you.

Those guys built their own switch http://www.fluidforms.at/de/CassiusHow.php

And I saw that you could also build some with a kind of antistatic paper used for sealed bags containing electronic chips. The paper is built by 3M, and the guys using it for pads used it for fixing Akai MPC Pads.

You can make your own paddles, using piezoeletric sensors and eva foam. I think it's the cheapest way. There are many examples on the net. http://members.cox.net/ampage/triggers.htm http://www.electronicdrums.com/pads/pads2.htm

Just google it: piezo+eva+foam

copper tape, cheap foam and cardboard will also do it.
