Paid project for IMU with bluetooth output

Hi all,

We have a project that I would like some programming assistance with. We would like to have cost estimates provided. Initially we are looking for a MVP (minimal viable product), so it does not need to be a polished project.

The project is comprised of two parts - the IMU/IoT component, and the graphing application (Ipad or Android). We are looking for developers for the IMU/IoT component.

The end result of the project is to be able to graph the relative movement of individual sensors attached to the body of a jogger on a treadmill. We will have multiple sensors attached to the jogger (e.g. one on each foot, knee, hip), and we would like to graph the movement and overlay this to compare the motion of both knees. We do not require absolue location, just the ablity to compare each.

We are happy with any chip vendor, but obvioulsy as it is wearable, small and lightweight is important. We have considered an Arduino variant, and BMX160 or similar. We will probably run cables to power the device, so battery consumption/conservation is not a concern.

We would like the IMU/IoT device to transmit the motion via bluetooth to the graphing device. As we are recording the motion of a jogger we would like motion measuments to be taken at a frequency of less than 20ms.

Please get in touch if you are interested, or contact if you have any questions.y

Thanks, Simon

Hello Simon,

I have the bare bones of a project i have been working on that can read up to 16 IMUs and transmit the data via WiFi using an ESP32. I think this may be a good fit for you as the ESP can also use BT.

The system was designed to be used for full body tracking within VR.

I would be happy to share some of the work I have already done and progress this project into something that meets your requirements.

Please feel free to either message me or drop me an email and we can chat about this some more.

Hi there, that sounds like it might work. Up to 16 sensors would be ideal. Wifi (ad-hoc) network might be ok as well. We initially thought of bluetooth just to keep things simple. I'm not sure how to contact you via email from this forum, but keen to take it offline and discuss futher.

Thanks

Just keep in mind that integration over IMU values does not give you the position in 3D

I have sent you a message with my email address.

Let me know if you find it and drop me an email.
