Hi there, I'm having trouble pairing my bluetooth module with an Android cellphone.
It is an Ard-305 bought in Steren, but I understand that it is the same as the HC-05 module.
About I year ago, I paired it with my cellphone, but now I need to pair it with a diferent one. I remember the password and the address, but when I click "search for devices" in my phone's bluetooth settings, it doesn't appear in the list.
I've googled it, but I just find very vague information.
I hope anyone could help me.
Turn off the cell phone that is paired. Connect standalone (apply power and ground) open "different" phone bluetooth app, find "available devices"
We've already turned off the first phone, and disabled the pair with it, but it didn't work.
And what do you mean with "standalone"? Connect only power and ground? With the arduino? Or with an external source?
What did not work?
Standalone HC-05 is just apply power (and ground) to it. It does not need an external controller to pair
Pairing the Bluetooth device with the other cellphone turned off didn't work.
We tried with a new bluetooth module, and it seems to be working, but now we have trouble because we don't know it's password.
We are trying sending AT commands, but we can't find the right program.

If you really are trying to send AT commands
-
you don't need a password
-
you can create a new password in the same process
-
you cannot communicate by wireless. You need to exit AT mode and start over in comms mode
There must be a bazillion programmes out there for configuring in AT mode. If you cannot find one, you just aren't trying hard enough.
Check the Martyn Currey website.
You vacated that topic a year ago without reporting the results... that you fried the HC05 you were using and now have another bluetooth module.
Did you make the voltage divider? Will you post a wiring diagram?
Thank you all for your time and comments. I just tried ressetting the module with the AT commands, and it worked, the pairing was successfull!
