I know this is a bit of a bizarre question, but I am having a considerable amount of trouble sourcing this header for cheaper than $10, which is pretty pricey for header of any type. Is this a rare part? I was going to use this as shield stacking header (And use red and black header for VCC and GND, respectively) in one of my projects and I need a lot of it, but I don't think I can spend so much for comparatively little header. Has anyone gotten this header from somewhere else for cheaper? If this is the wrong forum section, I apologize as I didn't know where else to put this.

Isn't a shield stacking header more like this?
The link you quoted was $8.xx for a pack of 10. That’s not a bad price, imo.
~80 cents for a 40 pin strip is a relatively good price.

Thanks for all the replies, I suppose my perspective was a little skewed, as I usually purchase my components from China. Anyway, after further searching I found another cheaper, similar source for the same style of component, from a chinese retailer. In the end, I suppose it will come down to the choice of whether to get coloured headers or not, with a difference of cents on the dollar.
