If I bought the parts for an Arduino breadboard kit in bulk and sold them on eBay, would you guys buy them? I want the people's opinion before I consider spending money on parts for a kit.
What is included:
ATmega328 (w/ bootloader)
5v Voltage Regulator
2 LEDs
2 220 Ohm resistors
10k Ohm resistor
2 10 uF capacitors
16 MHz clock crystal
2 22 pF capacitors
A momentary pushbutton (NO)
28-pin DIP socket
You will probably receive (when I start shipping) your '328 inserted in the DIP socket already, as I will be programming in-house, and the socket makes swapping on my programming breadboard easier. Can I flash one Arduino from another? Also, I assume any serial programmer will work. Please verify.
What would be in these "kits"? Would it be and ATmega, an oscillator, and a volage regulator? I'd definitely buy that (if it were reasonably priced) :).
I edited my first post. Also, I assume this is all that is needed. If you see anything that could be missing, please let me know. Also, is there a HEX file of the bootloader that I could use to write using my external programmer(serial)?
Also consider discarding the 16MHz crystal + caps, and providing a single resonator.
After you have considered it then please consider rejecting the idea. I would recommend crystals over resonators any day because of the crystal stability.
I know about the stability of resonators, so I chose caps and a crystal. I was wondering whether I should include a breadboard. Realize that these will cost more than $7, but not much more, as I am including LEDs, caps, resistors, and probably a breadboard. Also, I do not know how he could afford $7 when shipping is $3 for 13 oz or less within the US. I will try to get the lowest prices for all of us, but it will still be cheap compared to the Demu(IDon'tSpeakFrench)nove. If you can think of anything else it would be good to add, post it here.
