HI Everyone,
I'm new to the arduino and sorry if my question seems to be very easy to solve, but its URGENT as it concerns my school project.
Q. In the Password.h library can i change the nature of the way password given into arduino.
I want the arduino to ask me for the password like "Enter a key" , this key is then saved in an array and arduino prompts "Enter the secret message".
Can i do this using the Password.h library, if NO, can someone help me with the logic of the program on which i have to work.
Thanks a lot

No, since the password library has no idea how the Arduino got the characters that make up the guess.

Permission granted.
this key is then saved in an array
One key? Why do you need an array to hold one value?
Can i do this using the Password.h library
Do what? The Password library lets you define a password, and then compare some guess to that password, returning true or false, depending on whether the guess was correct, or not.
can someone help me with the logic of the program on which i have to work.
Without clear requirements? No.
Thank You for replying PaulS,
Answer to your
"Do what?"
Giving user the liberty to change the password, unlike in password.h lib, where the password is set programmatically.
PROJECT:
Now here i explain you the whole project.
I want to perform ENCRYPTION using a PS2 Keyboard,LCD and Arduino. Now, the arduino holds an array for both, the INPUT MESSAGE and ENCRYPTION KEY.
I get the arduino to prompt "Enter the input text:" i write the whole text, press ENTER KEY, data saved in INPUT MESSAGE array, then arduino prompts "Encryption Key:", i give the key which will be saved in an array for KEY.
This is where i am facing problem, CAN I using the PASSWORD.h library , do this? ENTER A VARYING KEY EVERY TIME I WRITE A NEW input message.
Thanks you.

The password does NOT have to be hardcoded. It is simply an array of characters that CAN be changed, before or after initializing the instance of the Password class. If the initial password is a string literal, that memory space can't be changed, but the instance of the Password class can be pointed at a new array of data as the new password.

You can easily do that without using the Password class. I can't see that the Password class has any place in this program.
I understood it totally now. Thank you for your help.
