  1. ensure that the IP address you enter, example :
IPAddress ip(192,168,1,101);

does not conflict with another IP address on your network.

  1. did you set port forwarding in your router to forward port 82 to the ethernet shield ?

  2. you mentioned : 192.168.1.101:82 In your browser, you should use "http://" + your public IP address + :82 so look at http://www.whatismyip.com/ for your IP and add the "http://" to the start, and ":82" at the end.
