Paxton Reader RFID Reader (125kHz) help on reading :S

Ok been searching around for a bit to try and understand how a Paxton reader works and how i could tie it into a Arduino Mega (2560) I have had a play with using HID readers before with some success but I have about 10 Paxton access control entry readers but i didnt want to use the there controller (not because of price) and try and build a controller for my own fun..

the problem is i really not sure where to start! any advice would be really welcomed :slight_smile:

the reader I have is a Model No: 353-110 Paxton Products & Solutions | Paxton Access Control
