Paying homage to the UNO mini LE

After receiving my UNO LE it is apparent that it would be a waste to leave it in the box even though it is a beautiful box i may add, kudos Arduino. At the same time it would be futile to use it in a project as that would remove its innocence. What to do?

Wait, why not create a circuit board that would have the UNO LE plug into to display its beauty in proper form. Of course we would use through hole parts to honour the past and voila......

Parts were chosen to us i2c, SPI, UART , PWM and left over I/O which would exercise all elements of the device. To make this functional the UNO LE is now installed in its new home.

This item is now on display in all its glory and I am happy to say the the UNO LE is the real thing and functions as its larger version with all items on board working as expected. I also have a little circuit board which plugs into the top of the UNO to house OLED, TFT displays just to add colour but not included here as it hides the main attraction, theUNO LE.

Final remarks:

Believe it or not but the hardest part was soldering the male headers to the UNO and not distorting its beauty. Enjoy.................
