Pc cannot recognize the Arduino borad

I find that the PC cannot recognize the board anymore (cannot find the serial port), is that means the socket of board has been broken? The power supply by usb is still works.

Not necessary it could be a driver problem, change the usb port and double check if it apears on device manager?
It must appear a Com Port on there !! that is used on FTDI chip at arduino board

Only if you are lucky, it is most likely the USB / serial bridge chip. They are difficult to replace. What type of arduino do you have?
