Well, that's another thing... I don't have a multimeter. I've never needed one. And there doesn't seem to be other way to check the resistance of the wires. I can always cut the cable... No, I'm not that desperate.
I guess I'll just let it sit for a while and order the right cable from AliExpress (as well as the damned multimeter :))).
