PCA9685 Alternative IC?

Im looking for Starting project with pwm generator. the package of PCA9685 is very hard to soldering to PCB... But I don't want use breakout board..
Does anyone know alternative IC of PCA9685?

Welcome to the forum

I think that you will be lucky to find an alternative and even if you do it will probably not be in a larger package so it might be the time to learn to solder small surface mount components to a PCB. Alternatively you could have the board manufactured by JLCPCB and have them to solder on the difficult components

If you are going to work with electronics soldering is a basic required skill if you plan on becoming proficient. @UKHeliBob has a good intermediate solution.

Sure. Have you soldered a bare PCA9685 by hand though? I have. It's not very easy. Off the top of my head, the pin pitch is 0.5mm - and there's a lot of them.

Virtually any microcontroller can generate PWM. What controller are you planning to use? The PCA9685 may be superfluous. Controllers like many in the STM32 and ESP32 ranges offer more powerful PWM generators than the PCA. The PCA's main benefit is the number of channels.
Start by listing your requirements, then let's see what your hardware options are.

Also, what's wrong with a module? The PCA9685 modules are generally quite compact.
