PCB Footprint of Arudino Boards for Shield Design

Hello,

Where can I obtain the mating PCB foot print for a PCB design? In other words, I need PCB foot print that the MEGA would mate with on a PCB board. So I need the precise Header locations that would mate with the female headers on the MEGA. I think the EAGLE file is provided for the MEGA but that is the EAGLE file for the MEGA it self. I wanted to know if there is a PCB template that includes the male headers already positioned so I can start designing.

THank you

You can always start with the Mega design and remove all the stuff you don't want on your board. There are only a couple dozen parts. Removing a part removes all the connections to other devices/pins. Remove the chip first, and most of the clutter goes away. Removing the rest is easy.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes I went into the eagle file and stripped away everything but the headers.

See I am not familiar with eagle software and I am trying to make the shield in Express PCB. Is there a way I can import those header locations into a PCB file for Express PCB.

Or is there a CAD sheet that can give me accurate locations of the holes ect in respected to the other headers/holes?

Thanks

Sparkfun has a footprint for a shield in it's library here:https://github.com/sparkfun/SparkFun-Eagle-Library
Lady Ada also has one :The Adafruit Eagle Library
and Seeed Studio has a nice library :https://github.com/Seeed-Studio/EagleLib-of-Seeedstudio
The two rows of headers are offset by 50 mills.
