PCF8574 vs. TCA9548A ?

Trying to understand the difference between PCF8574 and TCA9548A. Is this correct?

PCF8574: I2C Serial to Parallel-Port Expander. Read/write 8 address-less devices.

TCA9548A: I2C Multiplexer. Also does Serial to Parallel. Only for addressable devices which have address-conflicts.

What are other differences? Thx for more info.

Other differences? Other cases, other voltage range, and many, many more. These are completely different chips, there is only one commonality: both have an I2C interface.

TCA9548A is not a serial to parallel expander. It's an I2C multiplexer.
