Perimeter wire sensor help

hi im a Y12 student building an automatic lawnmower for my final project. Im following robert malmstroms build guide.

this build

However im currently having a problem with the detection of the perimeter wire. My perimeter wire station works, pulsing a simple on-off ranging 0-12volts, however the detection sensor is not.

in the link, the build steps page step 19, shows the expected result(sorry i dont know how to attach images) the yellow line represents the perimeter station, the blue is the sensor.

my current sensor detects a weak pattern only a few hundred millivolts, compared to the 4volts of robs sensor. in the google drive is a video of my results as i move the sensor closer and further from the wire.

in the google drive is schematics and other photos.

on the website is the code im using.

is the current issue a sign of damage that needs a part replacement or poor wiring. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. feel free to upload your own documents to the google drive.

Possible Issues

Component Tolerance: Your components might have different tolerances or might be functioning below their expected performance. This could be capacitors, resistors, or even the sensor itself.
Soldering or Wiring Issues: A poor soldering job or loose wires can lead to increased resistance, affecting the signal.
Ground Loops or Noise: Electrical noise or ground loops can affect signal integrity. Make sure all components are properly grounded and that you're not picking up noise from other sources.
Power Supply: Ensure your power supply to the sensor and the perimeter wire station is consistent and within the expected range.
