I am a beginner just starting with Arduino. I am trying to build a simple home lights automation systems using Arduino, 2 Philips Hue lights bulbs with thier bridge, PIR, and UV sensors.
I tried to use this library here but I don't know how, plus there is this note "
Starting in February 2016, Custom whitelist usernames will no longer be allowed and the bridge randomly generated username must be used instead. Please see this link for more information.
This library does not currently support this. If you are interested in taking over ownership of this repo, feel free to do so.
"
My question is, what do I need to do to connect my Arduino to the light bulbs system to control them and turn them ON/OFF?
From reading your Post it seems that Philips have made some change to their product and a corresponding change will be needed for the Arduino library. Is that correct?
I don't have an answer for your problem but I have some questions that may help.
Are you capable of making that sort of change - perhaps with a little help?
Are you already familiar with the way the existing library works?
Do you understand in detail the nature of the change that Philips have made to their product?
If you can't answer YES to all of those questions then I reckon you won't be able to make much progress until someone else with the necessary skill and knowledge takes an interest.
