I am creating a project where I need to measure the amount of light that is passing through a test tube of sediment diluted in water. I need to be able to measure between 0 and 1250 lumens. Should I use a photoresistor like this, or a BPW34 photodiode?
your common LDR will do the job just fine, just stick high enough resistor in series and use it as a voltage divider and read the input...
high the resistor the more sensitive you can make it....
